Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
These Terms govern your use of PlanItShare (planitshare.app), an independent project operated by Miltos Vafiadis as an individual based in Greece, not a company. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. About PlanItShare
PlanItShare is a trip-planning and expense-splitting tool operated by Miltos Vafiadis, an individual based in Greece (postal address: Paralia Fourkas, Halkidiki 63077, Greece; contact: privacy@planitshare.app), not a corporate entity. That doesn't reduce your rights under EU consumer or data protection law, but it does mean the service is offered without the support infrastructure a company might have — no dedicated support team, no service-level guarantees.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
3. The service
PlanItShare lets you create trips, build shared itineraries, invite others, log expenses, and import booking details from confirmation emails. The service is provided on a best-effort basis and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued — see §8.
4. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the trip, expense, and email content you submit. By submitting it, you grant PlanItShare a license to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the service to you and to the other members of any trip you share it on — including sending forwarded or pasted confirmation emails to Anthropic's Claude API for automated extraction (see §6 and our Privacy Policy).
You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share any personal data about other people that appears in content you submit (for example, a co-traveler's name in a forwarded booking confirmation).
5. Shared trips and groups
Content added to a shared trip — plans, expenses, comments — is visible to the other members of that trip. Don't add anything you wouldn't want your travel companions to see.
6. AI-assisted processing
When you forward or paste a confirmation email, its content is sent to a third-party AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to extract structured trip details. This is disclosed at the point of use in the app and explained in more detail in our Privacy Policy. Extraction results are suggestions — always review them before relying on them, since automated parsing can make mistakes.
7. Acceptable use
- Don't use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
- Don't attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
- Don't submit content that infringes someone else's rights, or abusive/harassing content in comments.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, including automated scraping.
- Don't use the inbound-email or comment features to send spam or unsolicited content.
If you believe content on PlanItShare — a comment, a shared plan, or anything else another user submitted — violates this section or the law, email us at privacy@planitshare.app with a description and, where possible, a link or screenshot. We'll review reports and may remove content or suspend the account that posted it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section; see §11 for how that works and how to contest it.
8. Service availability and changes
As a project run by one person, the service may be updated, limited, or occasionally unavailable without advance notice. We'll try to give reasonable notice before any change that meaningfully reduces functionality you rely on, but we can't promise uptime guarantees.
If we ever decide to permanently discontinue PlanItShare, we'll email registered users at least 30 days before shutdown and give you that window to export or copy anything you want to keep — trip details, expense records, itineraries — before the service and its data are taken offline.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of AI-extracted data. You should independently verify important details (dates, amounts, confirmation numbers) rather than relying solely on automated extraction.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlanItShare and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss or inaccurate expense calculations. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including Greek Civil Code Art. 332 (which voids advance waivers of liability for gross negligence and intent) and mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your EU country of residence.
11. Termination
There's currently no self-service "delete my account" button — to close your account, email us at privacy@planitshare.app and we'll process it manually. Trips and data that are entirely yours are deleted outright once we confirm the request with you. If you've contributed expenses or plans to a trip shared with others, we may need to ask you to first reassign or remove those specific records, since deleting them outright would corrupt other members' shared expense history.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates §7, or if required by law. Except in cases of serious abuse (fraud, harassment, illegal content, or anything requiring an immediate response), we'll tell you why before a suspension becomes permanent and give you a chance to respond; you can always contact us to explain your side or request reinstatement.
12. Intellectual property
PlanItShare's own code, design, and branding (including the name and logo) belong to its operator. These Terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond what's needed to use the service normally. Trip, expense, and other content you submit remains yours — see §4.
13. Disputes and complaints
We're not committed to any alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body. If you're an EU consumer and want to raise a complaint outside the courts, the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, synigoroskatanaloti.gr) or the equivalent body in your own country of residence can help. The EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued in 2025 and is no longer available.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable part is read to achieve its intent as closely as the law allows.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Greek law. If you're using the service as a consumer resident in the EU, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of your own country's law, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence as well as in Greece.
16. Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page and email registered users at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use PlanItShare after that date counts as accepting the update; if you'd rather not, you can delete your account before the change takes effect (see §11).
