What's new

Every change

Release by release, plainly: everything that changed, not only what made it into What's New.

Version 1.8118/10/2026

  • Group pages have a new shape. Your position comes first: what you're owed and what you owe in that group, kept apart, and your own payments in the plan, each with Record when it's yours to record. The expenses are listed by day with your share. On a wide screen Settle up and spending sit beside them; on a phone they're a tap away, and Add expense stays at the bottom of the screen. The people open from a strip under the group's name. On the Expenses page, a group where you're both owed and owing shows both amounts.
  • Airports on your way, in a trip's Explore tab: every airport your own flights pass through. At the 39 airports we hold connection data for, a tap says where you land and where you leave from, and, when you change planes, what you clear in between and how long the airport asks for, beside what your timetable gives you. Each says whether it's curated or only researched, and when it was checked.
  • Faces: everyone gets two letters and a colour of their own, the same on every screen — the people lists, the debt graph, Home's pass, Your People and the Showing chips.
  • Thessaloniki and Amsterdam in the journey planner: Thessaloniki's buses (OASTH), and in Amsterdam the metro, trams, buses and ferries (GVB), NS trains, and the buses to Schiphol, Zaanse Schans and Volendam. Both are planned by PlanItShare from the published timetables, so the times are scheduled, not live.
  • Coverage says which kinds of transport each city's planner covers, and whether its times are live or the timetable's.
  • The trip map showing Everyone draws only your own bed.
  • Home: when the next plan belongs to another trip, it's a quiet line on that trip's own card instead of a box of its own.
  • Lighter pages: every page now loads only the language you read in, about 140 KB less in English and 110 KB less in Greek.
  • What's New now rolls a few releases into one entry. This list, linked from it, keeps every change, release by release.

Version 1.8017/10/2026

  • Expenses is one page for every trip and group: what you're owed and what you owe, per currency, never netted; tap for who pays whom and go to that Settle up. Money with someone who has left is a footnote, never in a total. Groups without a trip are called groups (in Greek «κοινά ταμεία»). Home's figure follows the same rule. /split links still work.
  • The menu: Your People (household, buddies, records of you) is its own page; Settings is six sections, each with its own address; an Admin group appears only for people who hold one of its roles; What's new sits in Read, with a dot until you've opened the newest entry. Old links (/profile, /split) still land in the right place.
  • Problem or idea? replaces Feedback. Three doors open it already pointed at the page you were on: an error page, the end of every Help chapter, and each What's New entry.
  • Reading stays in the app: signed in, the Blog, What's New and About open inside the app with its menu, instead of on the public site.
  • Lighter pages: Home loads about 90 KB less JavaScript, Explore about 40 KB less, and the public pages about 60 KB less.
  • The public site describes what the app does today: deciding together, getting around, when plans go wrong, the weather, who's going, and who owes whom.
  • Lessons: a new case study, "Who owes whom, exactly" — how Settle up finds the fewest payments.
